Yes. A school can choose to set up an approval workflow without a pre-approval step.
If no pre-approval step is included:
When a staff member creates an excursion, all tabs (Details, Risk Assessment, Students, etc.) are available immediately.
Once completed, the excursion is sent directly for Final Approval.
If a pre-approval step is included:
This is the standard and most commonly used workflow.
Staff first complete and submit the Details page.
The excursion is reviewed and must receive Initial Approval.
Once approved, the remaining tabs (Risk Assessment, Students, etc.) open for staff to complete before submitting for Final Approval.
