How to manage excursion types?

Excursion types define the high-level categories of excursions.

  1. Navigate to Settings → Excursion Types.

  2. To add a new Excursion Type:

    • Click Add Excursion Type.

    • Enter a Code (system reference).

    • Enter a Name (e.g. Excursion, Overseas Excursion).

    • Link one or more Activity Types.

    • Click Save.

  3. To edit an Excursion Type, click the green Edit icon in the table.

  4. To delete an Excursion Type, click the red Delete icon. (Note: an Excursion Type cannot be deleted if it is currently in use.)

What are Excursion Types linked to?

  • Activity Types – defines the specific activities under each excursion type.

  • Roles – sets which staff or groups are notified.

  • Checklists – links the steps staff must follow.

  • Risks – determines which risks apply at excursion level.

  • Excursion Form Section Fields – defines what fields appear in the excursion form.
