Activity Types let you make excursions more specific (e.g. P.E., White Water Rafting, Office Events). They also help make sure the right risks and ratios apply to the right excursions.
Go to Settings → Activity Types.
Click Add Activity Type.
Enter a name for the activity.
Click Save.
The new Activity Type will now appear in the Activity Types list.
How do I use Activity Types with Excursions?
When you create or edit an Excursion Type, you can link one or more Activity Types.
When a teacher creates an excursion and selects that Excursion Type, the linked Activity Types will appear.
Teachers can then select the Activity Type(s) that apply to their excursion.
Why are Activity Types important?
They decide which risks show in the excursion’s Risk Assessment.
Example:
If the Excursion Type is Overseas Excursion and the Activity Type is White Water Rafting, the Risk Assessment will include risks from both.
Once an excursion is no longer in Draft status, the Activity Type cannot be changed.
