Adding a New Risk to the Risk Register
Steps to Add a Risk
Navigate to the Risks Settings -> Risks tab
Select Add Risk
Complete the following fields:
Excursion Type → select the relevant excursion type from the dropdown
Risk Category → select from options such as Prior to activity, Travelling to/from activity, During activity, After activity
Description → enter a clear description of the risk
Risk Mitigation → describe strategies or controls to reduce the risk
Risk Owner → select the responsible staff member from the dropdown (list of staff)
Risk Proximity → select when the risk is most relevant (e.g. near term, long term)
Initial Risk Likelihood → select from dropdown (e.g. Almost Certain, Likely, Possible, Rare)
Initial Risk Impact → select from dropdown (e.g. Catastrophic, Major, Medium, Minor, Insignificant)
Once all required fields are completed, click Save.
The risk will now appear in the register and can be updated later by clicking the green edit pencil.
⚠️ Note
Schools can configure additional fields via Risk Settings → Risk Columns
